A private guided practice

A gentler way
to come back.

A short, self-guided EFT tapping practice for moments when your body feels on alert, your thoughts are moving quickly, or you need a little more room before you respond.

Nothing you do here is stored, shared, or sent.

Before you begin

Stay close to the present.

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, combines light fingertip tapping with attention to what is happening inside. This practice stays close to the present. You do not need to bring up a memory, explain your whole story, or make yourself feel better before you continue with your day.

You can tap lightly, press your palms together, or simply rest a hand where it feels supportive. Let the practice be adjustable. It is fine to skip any step.

When the pattern keeps returning

A practice can be a beginning, not the whole answer.

For some people, moments of activation belong to a larger pattern of anxiety, trauma, or living with a nervous system that stays prepared. Therapy can be a place to understand that pattern without rushing it.

About this practice

This is a general EFT tapping practice, not a branded protocol and not a replacement for individualized care. The phrases and pace are designed to support present-moment noticing rather than memory processing.

For more about EFT tapping and its current evidence base, see Cleveland Clinic’s overview. The orienting guidance reflects trauma-informed grounding practices described in SAMHSA’s trauma-informed care guidance.
