Therapy that
travels with you
Florida is a state of movement. People relocate here, build lives here, and often find themselves far from the communities and support systems they grew up with. Whether you live in Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Delray Beach, or a quieter corner of the state, access to quality mental health care has historically depended on where you happen to be — and whether your schedule allows you to sit in traffic to get there.
Virtual therapy changes that. Vea Psychotherapy offers online therapy and telehealth psychotherapy for adults throughout Florida via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Sessions take place wherever you have privacy and a reliable internet connection — your home, your office, or anywhere you can create a quiet space for yourself.
The work is the same. The depth is the same. What changes is the commute.
Does virtual therapy
actually work?
This is one of the most common questions people ask before starting online therapy, and it deserves a direct answer: yes. A substantial body of research demonstrates that telehealth psychotherapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person treatment across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationship difficulties.
Many clients find that working from their own environment actually supports the therapeutic process. There is something meaningful about doing this work in the space where you actually live — where the patterns you are trying to understand play out in real time. The therapeutic relationship, which is central to any effective therapy, develops just as fully through a screen as it does across a room.
This includes EMDR therapy, which is offered virtually and has been shown in research to be equally effective online as in person.
What we
work through
Vea Psychotherapy works with adults navigating a wide range of concerns. Many clients come in understanding, on an intellectual level, what is driving their struggles — the anxiety that never fully quiets, the relationship patterns that keep repeating, the way old wounds still shape present-day reactions. The work is about bridging the gap between that understanding and actually living differently.
Areas of focus include anxiety and chronic stress, trauma and PTSD, attachment and relationship wounds, codependency, perfectionism and high achievement, addiction recovery, and loving someone with addiction. Sessions draw from EMDR, attachment-focused psychotherapy, somatic approaches, and other evidence-based modalities.
Vea Psychotherapy is a private-pay practice. Sessions are 50 minutes at $250. Upon request, a superbill can be provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
