Information We Collect
Contact form submissions: When you submit the consultation request form on this website, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the message you choose to share. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and determine whether working together may be a good fit.
Website analytics: This website uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand general traffic patterns (pages visited, approximate geographic region, device type). This data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
Cookies: This website may use essential cookies to support basic functionality. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
How We Use Your Information
Information submitted through the contact form is used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Please note that the contact form on this website is not a secure channel for transmitting sensitive health information. Do not include detailed health history, diagnoses, or other protected health information in a contact form submission.
HIPAA & Clinical Privacy
As a mental health provider, Vea Psychotherapy is subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Your protected health information — including session content, diagnoses, treatment records, and billing information — is governed by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which you will receive and review as part of the intake process.
All telehealth sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Clinical records are maintained through a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system.
Third-Party Services
This website may include links to third-party websites, including Psychology Today. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies independently.
This website is hosted on Manus, a secure web hosting platform. Manus may process technical data (such as IP addresses and server logs) in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Data Retention
Contact form inquiries are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and determine whether to establish a therapeutic relationship. If no therapeutic relationship is established, inquiry data is not retained beyond that purpose.
Clinical records for active and former clients are retained in accordance with Florida law and professional ethics guidelines, which generally require a minimum retention period of seven years from the date of last service (or seven years after a minor client reaches the age of 18).

You may request that we delete contact information you have submitted through this website by emailing emily@veapsychotherapy.com. Requests related to clinical records are handled through the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices.
