Do you accept insurance?

Vea Psychotherapy is a private-pay practice. I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

How much do sessions cost?

My rate is $250 for a 50 minute session. Payment is due at the time of service.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged the full session fee, except in cases of illness or unforeseen emergencies.

How long are sessions?

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. EMDR sessions may be scheduled for longer periods (75–90 minutes) depending on your needs and where you are in treatment.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. As therapy progresses and goals are met, we may shift to bi-weekly or monthly sessions.

What is the first session like?

The first session is an intake — a chance for us to get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and begin to understand your history and goals.

How long will therapy take?

The length of therapy varies widely depending on your goals, history, and what you're working through. We'll check in regularly about your progress and adjust our approach as needed.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. All sessions are conducted virtually via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. I see clients throughout Florida.

Can EMDR be done effectively online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Research consistently shows that virtual EMDR produces outcomes comparable to in-person treatment. Bilateral stimulation is delivered through eye movements tracked on screen, self-administered tapping, or auditory tones through headphones.
